The Chocolate Reinvention
Updated: Apr 8, 2020
Do you know what innovation of Nature has all these blessings??
To be completely honest, I have some bad news... some good news....some more bad news....and some good news again.
Bad news
It's not chocolate.
Good news
It comes from the ingredient that makes chocolate, chocolate.
More Bad News
Part 1
Cacao seeds are typically fermented and roasted, which adds to the uflavor flavor of chocolate. During the production of cacao products, the cacao beans are ground into cacao liqueur, a viscous product. That is then separated into cacao cake(dry and dense product) as well as cacao butter. The cacao cake goes on to become cocoa powder and of course the cacao butter goes on be cocoa butter. The cacao butter can be reassociated with the cacao liqueur, and when sugar and milk and other ingredients are added to it, chocolate is the outcome. Of course it's the added sugar and vast amounts of fat that can have a negative impact on our health and fitness goals.
Part 2
The worst is that the processing of the cacao bean removes the natural antioxidant levels by tenfold.
Good news again
There is a solution!
Let's face it, ingesting a combination of refined cane or beet sugar opens the door for either maintaining our levels of body fat or building more of it. If fitness, health and happiness are some of your goals, we can reinvent chocolate by using raw cacao powder.
We will have several recipes in upcoming posts. Here is a simple one for now....
Chocolate lovers brew
1 tsp raw cacoa powder
Stevia or coconut sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Tblsp Sugar free Vanilla Creamer(For the hard Core use Unsweetened Almond Milk-Vanilla or Chocolate Variety)
1 cup filtered Coffee
Mix thoroughly and enjoy every day!
